cock sparrer, and it dont really get better than this for sing-a-long-a-max madness. another band that got tarred and featherd with the 'rascist' tag, which is total shite by the way. far from it in my opinion. working class and proud and patriotic, but rascist??? no. no, no. dont listen to these fools that harp on and on about bullshit like that. theyre just jealous their band never sounded this good or even close. honestly i know ever lyric to every song on this lp, off by heart, and their aint no nazi crap here. wouldnt listen to them if there was. another thing about the old sparrer, they got lumped in with the oi! crowd as well. how? i dont know. ok, its heavily football influenced, with the chanting like choruses etc but thats it. rock and or roll pub rock at its finest. fucking love this lp, and so do thousands of others, but it really is a high point in the british 80s punk chapter. they rescently played here in stockholm, and i didnt go. to be honest i dont really regret it. ive seen a wad of pictures from that night and the night they played in copenhagen. loads of sieg hieling pics, swastika tattoos. one had a guy with a 'moscow dynamo seig hiel' t-shirt on. these pricks can sniff me out at a thousand paces and i would have had a helluva night. fucking shame really, but i aint changing my opinions for no cunt. why these pricks follow this band i dont know. it may have to do with 'england belongs to me', but its about being poor and being proud and nothing to do with xenophobia. kinda like how the nazi twats like the clash because of 'white riot' or minor threat because of 'guilty of being white' or black flags 'white minority'. read the lyrics ya gormless pricks without any ears.
